I thought I should share my experience here. It could probably help some others to appreciate their KTM again. It is a long story but with a happy ending. I bought a KTM 1290 SA 2016 brand new in March 2017. I did a tour of the Gaspésie in June 2017, and lots of little ride around until the end of July 2017. I was almost at 10 000 km when left for a cross-country trip from Ottawa to Vancouver Island in August 2017. At that point I was literally in love with my new bike. Before leaving for my 12 000 km trip across Canada, I went to the dealership to have the 10k maintenance and install new tires. I have installed Avon AV54 tires. When I left for my trip the next Saturday, I noticed that my bike started to wobble. My first reflex was to think that my front tire wasn't balanced correctly. The next Monday, as soon as I woke up at Thunderbay, I went to Excalibur Motorcycle which is a KTM dealer. They have been extremely generous to take my bike without any appointment. They checked...
